Job Title: Help Desk Officer- Health Insurance

Position Type: Back up (on need basis)

Posting Date: 22nd December, 2021

Location: Arusha & Moshi

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To Perform Health insurance verification for visiting members.
  • To issue the claim forms to member(s) once the verification has been done.
  • To collect the Claim form after the member is attended.
  • To contact Insurance Company for approval if required.
  • Accurately post Claim form’s information into the system.
  • To provide clarifications and directions to members.
  • To generate all reports required on a daily basis.
  • Follow up and resolve pending authorizations in a timely manner
  • Timely reporting of issues that may hinder performance of duties
  • Maintain clear communication with patients as well as insurance Companies.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patients and center related operations.
  • Obtain prior authorization for procedures outside your scope.
  • Accurate interpretation of general health and social services guidelines, technical procedures or government regulations.
  • Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned by your superiors.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma from any field; Associate Degree is a plus
  • Intermediate experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer care service.
  • Ability to work under shift basis including odd hours; weekends and public holidays
